Our Trainees
At CVTC, we believe in uniting trainees through societies and activities which spark creativity, cooperation and the overall interests of the student body of the institution.

Activities
Here are some of the activities and societies that trainees form part of:
CULTURAL WEEK
Cultural activities encourage cultural heritage which allows students from all walks of life to recognize and acknowledge how individual differences contribute to collective diversity. The week-long cultural festival is concluded with the crowning of “Mr and Miss CVTC” as well as other festivities.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK
Entrepreneurship is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business. It is the day when the students show their talents/skills, achievements and gain knowledge. The event takes place at the end of July, before students sit for their exams.
FASHION & INNOVATION EXPO
The Fashion & Innovation Expo week is an annual event by CVC which promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity among trainees. This week focuses on the trainees, allowing them to showcase the skillset acquired from their trades while also collaborating with other trades to create market level products.
CVTC CAREER WEEK
The CVTC hosts a yearly Career week in which various high schools are chosen and the CVTC SRC team as well as the Student Support office go school to school in an effort to bring TVET education closer to the students that need it. This career week is a joint effort between the high schools and the CVTC as an important stakeholder in TVET education.
The Trainee Representative Council
The TRC serves as the voice of the trainees and represents all trainees’ views on training matters and other related issues to the institution. This not only gives the trainees the platform to voice their perspectives but also give the institution valuable feedback when planning for the future.
It is therefore imperative to elect/nominate a body of trainees that will diligently and competently achieve these objectives.
Campaigning takes placeduring the first three days of the week, fourth day is voting and fifth day is the election results.
Social Welfare Services
Focuses on social problems and promotes mental health for students. Various workshops take place throughout the year, on topics ranging from relationships, sexual harassment, stress management, alcohol and substance abuse, etc
